This is the official webpage for Ramirez v. TSX, a lawsuit seeking an end to threats and violence against local residents in Intag, Ecuador. Against enormous odds, Ms. Marcia Ramírez, Mr. Israel Pérez and Mr. Polibio Pérez (all pictured right) have begun this lawsuit in Canada, on behalf of their communities, to defend their homes, lands and ecosystem against the corporate and financial institutions located thousands of kilometres away. This website is maintained by the legal counsel for these local residents, Klippensteins, Barristers and Solicitors, for the purpose of raising awareness and helping pay for the expenses of the lawsuit. Contributions made through this webpage will not be used for legal fees, but will help pay for the countless ongoing expenses of a court case, such as court fees, transcript costs, court document production costs, travel expenses for plaintiffs and witnesses and numerous other out-of-pocket expenses.
